Film: “Welcome to Germany – The place for your ideas”
The “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative and the German Federal Foreign Office are presenting a film about Germany in 17 different language versions, including sign language. The film introduces a range of people of different nationalities who live in Germany, capturing them in their work and living environments.
Germany is much more than just a travel destination. It is a country with a high quality of life and an extremely attractive place in which to work and live. Whether they speak Urdu, Japanese, or Polish, people from all over the world can now see for themselves why Germany is a home away from home for so many.

What do a Russian mathematics professor, a biomedical engineer with Iranian roots, and a German artist have in common? They all live and work in Germany, the land for their ideas, and they are three of eight protagonists of a film in which people of different nationalities talk about their experiences in Germany. The film “Welcome to Germany – The place for your ideas”, presented by the “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative and the German Federal Foreign Office, gives viewers impressions of a country that offers excellent work and study conditions, enabling non-Germans to achieve fulfilment and feel at home. The people featured in the film engage with topics such as renewable energies, creative industries, and organic electronics. Aside from outstanding working conditions and exciting fields of research, Germany offers a unique quality of life, excellent conditions for realizing creative projects, and the freedom to implement ideas.
