A success story since 2006
“Germany leads through its ideas” is the long-term message of the place branding initiative. One project in particular helps to substantiate this claim with numerous examples while also encouraging the innovative power of Germany: the "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas" competition. Since 2006 the "Germany - Land of Ideas" place branding initiative has cooperated with Deutsche Bank to reward ideas and projects that make a lasting contribution to Germany’s future viability.
With great dedication, creativity and passion, people across Germany accomplish outstanding feats. They explore new approaches, successfully put ideas into practice, and create successful innovations for their country’s advancement. In doing so they help secure the future of Germany and serve as role models for others. The “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas” competition aims to raise public awareness of their outstanding ideas and projects, provide them with a platform and promote them.
The 365 “Selected Landmarks” represent the wealth of ideas, ability to make things happen, and passion of the people in the country and bring the innovative power of Germany to life day after day. Land of Ideas Landmarks are not towns and villages in a geographical or political sense - they are to be found wherever innovations are created and developed.
